60 million people in the world have been forced to flee their homes.
More than 11 million of them are Syrians.
Imagine if every New Zealander was forced to flee our country.
Kiwis On Board and Diva the Agency are thrilled to welcome the first of 1000 refugees who will arrive in New Zealand in 2016, with an amazing line-up of Kiwi artists performing at Auckland’s Silo Park.
Featuring live performances by Neil Finn, the Topp Twins, Hopetoun Brown, Thomas Oliver, the Jubilation Choir and more, this will be an evening to remember.
Bring the family and a blanket to Silo park at 5pm on January 23rd. The concert will finish at 8pm.
A $20 koha is requested. This can be paid in cash on the day or via a special Give A Little page, created to support the re-settlement of these refugees.
Silo Park is the perfect waterfront location for this special occasion. With regular community activity in the area, it is a public place where stories come together, where people share, socialise, or just sit and be. Silo Park’s weekly markets will be open from midday, with street food and cold drinks pouring from the Silo Park bar.
All proceeds raised will go to New Zealand Red Cross.
